For nurses trained in India and China:
- Unfortunately, for nurses trained in India and China, green card processing can take several years before they can start working in USA as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- However, you may be eligible to work as a nurse manager, nurse educator, in a specialized unit like ICU setting or in the quality department that would require a bachelor’s degree.
- These positions are few and competitive. Preference is usually given to American trained professionals but foreign trained nurses are definitely eligible for these roles.
